Just an after note – there are two other ways of scoring tries in rugby :
1. A penalty try – if the defending side cause too many fouls in their 22 meter area, the referee can award a penalty try, meaning the attacking team do not have to cross the try line, but are awarded 5 points under the posts, so the conversion kick is right in front of the posts.
2. Touching the base of the uprights of the post with the ball, without crossing the try line.
